Large Art Deco Revival Machine Age Torchiere Floor Lamp, Pair
About the Item
Pair of large six-and-a-half-foot tall custom hand-made Art Deco Revival torchiere floor lamps. Each lamp features hand-machined parts with a mix of black powder coat finish, brushed steel, and aluminum parts much like the lamps from designers Walter Von Nessen and Russel Wright. The lamp is topped by a large 25" stepped hand-spun aluminum shade.
Each lamp was made by renowned artist Rick Ramirez who fashioned distinctive, towering floor lamps in the Art Deco style, each a singular creation. His hallmark aesthetic seamlessly blended artisanal craftsmanship with recycled aerospace parts, imbuing every lamp with a mesmerizing charm. Ramirez's fusion of artistry and ingenuity testified to his limitless imagination and adaptability. Each lamp witnessed his prowess in repurposing aerospace components into captivating artworks. In Ramirez's vision, these lamps surpassed mere utility, emerging as icons of artistic ingenuity and technological reinvention, symbolizing the intersection of creativity and innovation.
