Large size (19.3 inches) hand carved, alabaster pendant light.
Thanks to its 'calm' and timeless Art Deco design this alabaster chandelier will look great in all kinds of interiors. It is in very good condition and the natural veins and patches really take this natural mineral stone pendant to the next level. In all our years of dealing in 'art and antiques with a soul' we have only once seen a shade with the patterns that you see in this specimen and that light sold a few weeks ago (just days after it was published here). When the light is switched on this pendant light takes you to a whole different place, because it is like looking at a photo that was shot by the 'Hubble space camera'. The amount of unique veins and the variety of patches in this shade create patterns that an alabaster chandelier maker can only dream of. The few black veins that contrast even more when the light is switched on also add to the spectacular look and feel of this one of a kind pendant light. We have also never sold an alabaster pendant light with a shade that rings as loud and long and like a gong when you strike it. That is how incredibly strong and structurally sound this large and thick shade is. Have you also noticed the stylish, height adjustable and mint condition, blackened brass canopy of this large alabaster light? Because of it, you can easily and safely mount this chandelier tight to your ceiling (and over your junction box) in just a few minutes.
Even if we shot a hundred more photos, you still would not be able to see the true allure of this piece. In real life (or in person) our alabaster lights always have that little bit more and this timeless and striking specimen is no exception. This lunar-like light fixture also is professionally rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well and it will easily take a screwthread bulb of up to 150 watts. So with a dimmer switch you can always create the perfect atmosphere for every occasion.
