A beautiful Islamic brass and stained glass lantern with a lavish pieced decoration.
The brass has a wonderful oxidisation with areas of verdigris seeping through, two octantal bands of deep blue glass with cast brass crescent moons and hoopoe birds finals (one missing) both typical symbols from the islamic faith. Some small areas of damage to the pieced decoration, overall in very good untouched country house condition.
