Modernist White and Clear Disc Murano Chandelier with Polished Nickel Frame
About the Item
This stunning and dramatic chandelier was realized in Murano, Italy- the islands off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for their superlative glass production. Created in the same manner since the 1960s, in the manner of Vistosi, features an abundance of opaque white discs with translucent borders emanating, via polished nickel rods, from an orbital center in the same material. The fixture is suspended from a domed nickel canopy via a cylindrical rod. With its bold sophisticated aesthetic and austere geometric forms, this piece is as stunning as it is versatile, blending perfectly with any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards. It accommodates sixteen candelabra based bulbs offering up to 960 watts of light. The height can be adjusted to suit.
