Modernist Polished Nickel Vistosi Chandelier with Hand Blown Murano Black Discs
About the Item
This dramatic and graphic Vistosi sputnik chandelier was hand blown in Murano, Italy, the islands off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for their superlative glass production. It features a wealth of polished chrome emanating from circular body of the same material. The centres of the discs are matte and opaque black, while the perimeter is translucent. Created after an iconic design by Vistosi, and made in the same manner for more than fifty years, this piece is as modern looking today as ever before. It would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition. The height can be adjusted to suit. The fixture accommodates twelve Edison based bulbs providing up to 1200 hundred watts of light.
