About the Item

Large and unique top quality, mint condition alabaster chandelier with amber colored patches / clouds. One of the qualities of alabaster pendants is that no two shades will ever be exactly the same. Mother Nature created this mineral stone over the course of many centuries and the craftsman who created these antique lights (between circa 1880 and 1930) would always try to use a rock / piece that would create the best possible patterns. This good size, high and all hand carved alabaster bowl comes with deep twist lines under the shade. It also comes with a number of remarkable amber colored patches. Since we often refer to the white alabaster as having a lunar like quality, these colored patches are like the beautiful colored clouds that you sometimes see at sunset. You could hardly wish for a more attractive and eye-catching light and this work of beauty will create just the right atmosphere in the space she is in. With early 20th century light fixtures as one of our specialities, over the years, we have seen our alabaster pendants become more and more sought after. Because of their unique designs and because of their great look and feel they truly are remarkable eyecatchers that create an atmosphere that is unlike anything you ever saw.
