Gilt iron and bronze sunburst crown shape chandelier or ceiling light fixture with frosted glass, Spain, 1950s.
This ceiling light was handcrafted in Spain at the Mid-Century Modern period in the style of Brutalism. The body of the light fixture is heavily decorated by the hammer marks and it has handcut iron double leaves. It hangs from four chains topped with a bronze canopy.
It has a nice aged patina with bronze gold leaf finishing and it provides a good amount of light through its large glass diffuser.
It can be placed flush mounted removing the chains
Newly wired with 3 E27 bulbs
Overall dimensions:62 cm diameter x 58cm height (including the chains and the canopy )
Placed as a flush mount: 62 cm diameter x 17 cm height
