Ring Chandelier with Eight Torch Lights, Wrought Iron, Spain, 1930s
Outstanding large wrought gilt iron ring chandelier with 8 torch arms and central glass light diffuser.
This spanish early 20th century torchere chandelier features a central iron ring which is decorated with flower details. There are eight torch lights set about the perimeter of the central ring placed in two heights. The ring has a frosted glass diffuser and two additional lights. The main ring is connected to an smaller ring hanging from 4 chains. It holds from a chain with a canopy on the top.
Its magnificent hand-hammered work, its original gold leaf gildind and a nice aged patina mark the difference.
This spanish iron chandelier would be an interesting idea placed above a dining area, in a kitchen or dining room or hanging in a foyer, living room or library.

- Condition:Rewired. Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. Newly wired with 10 lights: eight E14 bulb holders at the torches and 2 E27 bulb holders at the central glass shade. The current wiring could be easily separated in two phase (one for the torchere lights and one for the central lights).
