Top class, hand carved alabaster chandelier.
Thanks to its unique design, aesthetic beauty, large size and super condition this antique alabaster chandelier is bound to light up both your days and evenings. It is all hand-crafted in the earliest years of the 1900s and because it is hand carved out of one solid rock of alabaster, it must have taken the artisan(s) weeks rather than days to first design this work of beauty on paper and then carve it to perfection (by hand). As you can see in our images, the final product of their artisanship is an absolute joy to look at and you will immediately realize that they don't make 'em like this anymore. The combination of the design and the natural veins and patches in the shade (that have formed in this mineral stone over thousands of years) make it even more special. Especially the striking black veins, but also the multiple, more-translucent veins and patches create patterns that only Mother Nature herself is capable of creating. For this antique to be in this amazing condition after 100+ years is like an ode to the craftsmanship of early 1900s artisans. There are some minor hairlines in the shade, but it actually rings like a bell when you strike it, that is how structurally sound she is. We could shoot many more photos, but you still would not be able to see the true beauty of this shade. In real life (or in person) our antiques always have that little bit extra and this stunning pendant is no exception. Especially with the grape leaves and bunches carved all around the upper rem of this large alabaster bowl pendant. This stunning alabaster pendant therefor too is as strong as the day it left the artisan's studio (more than 100 years ago) and it actually rings like a bell when you strike it. This truly beautiful and unique antique pendant is rewired to the highest standard for safe & immediate usage in the USA as well and in the US it will take a regular American E26 bulb of up to 150 watts.
