Ivory and gold lacquered wooden chandelier, Restoration style

About the Item

The chandelier is made of ivory lacquered wood with gold profiles. It has a double body, with four larger arms at the bottom and four smaller arms at the top. The style is Restoration, or late-Empire. It was executed in Lombardy in the first half of the 19th century. It is believed to come precisely from the Villa Reale in Monza. There is no documentation to certify this but identical chandeliers can be seen in the Villa.
