Italian Early 18th Century Giltwood and Wrought Iron Chandelier

About the Item

A beautiful and most decorative Italian early 18th century giltwood and wrought iron chandelier. The eight arm chandelier is centered by a beautiful bottom foliate finial with lovely fluted designs below a reeded reserve with striking seashells from where the four larger elegantly curved arms branch out adorned with fine mottled reserves leading to wonderful foliate bobeches. Above a lightly curved support is an additional reeded reserve from where four shorter arms branch out each decorated in a similar manner. *Shades shown for display purposes only. Shown with original chain and canopy measuring an extra 21.25".
