About the Item

An Italian 19th century Tuscan st. patinated and gilt iron chandelier. This whimsical six arm chandelier is centered by an inverted bell-shaped Giltwood final leading up to the six scrolled arms adorned with large patinated iron acanthus leaves and central ball reserves. Each of the Giltwood arms lead to a wonderful mottled candle cup below a large-scale patinated iron foliate double bobeche. Stemming from the inverted finial emerges an exquisite array of red, blue, and yellow colored patinated iron roses that extend down each of the scrolled arms and vine upwards onto the fut. The vines of colorful flowers stretch to the peak of the fut and gently blossom after surpassing a pair of substantial circular reserves of acanthus leaves.
