Huge & Stunning 16 Light, Eight Arms Baroque Style Theatre Chandelier Pendant
About the Item
This impressive hand carved wooden chandelier, from circa 1920 has a rare theme.
This wonderfully carved and very ornamental chandelier is a true work of art. It displays the finest quality carving and the skills of it's maker. It is obvious to us that this chandelier was made for a theatre or it may have been commissioned by a theatre owner or a stage actor. The carved ornaments, such as the draped curtains and the many tassel bags are all there for a reason....craftsman always made these ornaments purpously.
The first owner of such a piece would have paid a fortune and after almost a 100 years it can now be yours to enjoy. The massive arms, the guirlandes, the draped curtains, the tassel bags and the beautiful patina are just some of the elements that make this centerpiece a joy to own and look at. I totally forgot to mention the 8 rare and hand crafted, brass roses. There is one with a small lightbulb between every arm......almost like small spotlights on a theatre / stage. They are pointed slightly downward and they make sure that all the magnificent details on the arms can be enjoyed.
This unique chandelier is professionally rewired for usage in the US and other countries.
