About the Item
All handcrafted, hexagonal Gothic light fixture.
If you are a collector of rare and ancient looking Gothic antiques then this relatively small size and possibly one of a kind pendant could be flying your way soon. With antique light fixtures as one of our specialties, we know how rare Gothic lanterns are and to have found one of this age, size and beauty more than made our day. Also, because this all hand-crafted specimen is almost completely original and in very good condition. Only the height adjustable canopy is a replacement. The natural wear on both the lantern and chain have only made this piece more beautiful and its authentic, medieval look and feel will never fail to impress. Finding Gothic fixtures of this age and originality is getting ever harder. It may have originally hung in the entrance of a home in France or maybe above the main entrance of a medieval style chateau or castle, we are not sure. What we are quite certain of is that it is highly unlikely that we or you will ever find another one exactly like it. The stylized quatrefoil elements below the Gothic church window-like panels in all six sides are just some of the wonderful features that make this work of lighting art so authentic and desirable. This rare light even comes with the original, antique cathedral glass and hanging in the right space it will make you feel like stepping right back into the medieval times. Both with the light switched on and off this entirely handcrafted pendant is unlike anything you will have ever seen.
This unique fixture has been professionally rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well and our price includes perfect packing (in a custom made box) and also worldwide shipping from our store to your door in just 4 to 6 days.
