French Early 19th Century 1st Empire Period Baccarat Crystal & Ormolu Chandelier

About the Item

A most elegant and unique French early 19th century 1st Empire period Baccarat crystal and ormolu chandelier. The chandelier is centered by a charming and richly chased bottom ormolu acorn finial surrounded by lovely foliate designs. The most decorative Baccarat crystal dish displays beautiful and most decorative diamond-shaped cuts and lovely finely detailed etched flowers and intertwining foliate designs. At the rim are three richly chased open winged swans in a striking satin and burnished finish with three unique chains leading upwards and tied around their necks. The top dish displays similar elegant cuts and a fine scalloped-shaped border. All original gilt throughout.
