French Art Deco Frosted Glass and Bronze Chandelier by Pierre Maynadier, 1930s

About the Item

Beautiful Art Deco chandelier, made in France and signed by Pierre Maynadier. The frame of this lamp is made of nickel-plated silvered bronze. The lampshades are made of frosted glass. The central glass bowl and three tulip glass shades bear the signature P. Maynadier, the bronze frame is also marked with the initials MP and numbers. All the glass shades and the frame are decorated with charming geometrical, grape, and leaf motifs. Matching decors on the glass and frame confirm the originality of the chandelier. Four sockets for B22-size light bulbs. Dimensions: diameter: 65 cm / 25.59 in; height: 95 cm / 37.4 in Maynadier Pierre was a famous Paris-based company of Pierre Maynadier, who marketed his chandeliers under his name and commissioned most of his glassworks from Muller Freres Lunéville. The light fixture is in complete working order, but as with all vintage or antique lighting, we would always suggest it is tested and fitted by a qualified electrician.
