French 20th century Louis XVI st. Ormolu and Bronze Chandelier, after Gouthiere

About the Item

An extremely stunning and high quality French early 20th century Louis XVI st. Ormolu and enameled Bronze chandelier, after a model by Pierre Gouthière. This truly impressive eight light chandelier is centered by a beautiful acorn bottom finial with acanthus leaves below the decorative cobalt blue colored central fut. The frame consists of richly chased beautiful maiden masks that present exceptionally scrolled Rinceaux shaped arms displaying superb finely detailed love birds perched at the center with unique and handsome ram's heads above. The enameled Bronze fut extends to the top crown and is encased with intricately detailed wrap around berried laurel branches. The wonderful top crown showcases berried foliate designs, an egg and dart patterned band, pierced circular figure, and an exceptional acanthus leaf spray canopy. *Shades, Canopies and Chain shown for display purposes, sold separately. An impressive and high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. Ormolu and Baccarat Crystal chandelier, after the model by Pierre Gouthière for Marie Antoinette. This truly gorgeous six light chandelier is centered by a berried acorn bottom finial hanging below an acanthus leaf spray that introduces the fluted central fut. Above the acanthus leaf spray are the six 'S' scrolled arms decorated with acanthus leaves and acorn finials below each arm leading to circular bobeches with dentil patterned edges.
