French 20th Century Art Deco Chandelier
About the Item
This exquisite Art Deco chandelier was hand-crafted in France during that artful period between 1925 and the end of the 1930s. Made of clear frosted molded glass and adorned with curvilinear and geometric skyscraper detailing and intricate molded florals on the central and three hanging glass shades, this chandelier is an eye-catcher. The center bowl has faceted fluted patterns and has been professionally repaired. A small crack can still be seen up close. Three shades hang from arched drops attached to the impressive and decorous verdigris painted metal frame. A preeminent example of the Art Deco movement, this fixture is timeless in its sophistication and many delightful details and will add much interest to any space while illuminating it with subdued elegance and style. Recently cleaned and professionally rewired for the US using UL listed parts. This wonderful Art Deco chandelier has gained a fantastic patina over the years, make sure to view all the images for a closer look at the details and current condition.
