Perfectly balanced, Art Deco alabaster pendant in superb condition.
Over the years we have sold some of the best looking and best condition alabaster pendants that money can buy. This perfectly white with black veins alabaster fixture is another one of those best-quality antiques. For the past 30 years this handcrafted and great looking pendant was used in the entrance of an Art Deco era home in the city of Haarlem in the Netherlands, but this can also be the perfect bedroom light or the ideal pendant for a smaller living room/apartment. We have mentioned it before and we will say it again here: we could shoot another 20 photos, but we would never be able capture the unique beauty and great style of this alabaster shade when the light shines through it. For this particular pendant a perfect rock of alabaster was used, because besides the perfect white and black contrast (thanks to the evenly spread black veins), there also are some more translucent veins and patches. This pure Art Deco design alabaster shade has several lines running through it as well, but don't let them fool you into thinking that this shade might not be strong, because it is so structurally sound that it truly rings like a bell when you strike it. On top of that you will also hardly ever find an antique alabaster pendant with such a perfectly polished surface. Fortunately, all former owners have respected the quality and beauty of this striking mineral stone pendant. So much so, that this antique alabaster pendant is absolutely ready for you to enjoy and it will still be this great looking in another 100 years time, if you simply let it shine on your ceiling. This light is also rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA and you will be able to use a regular American E26 screwthread bulb of up to 100 watts, easily. It will also take LED bulbs. Thanks to the metal hook inside the height adjustable, blackened brass canopy, safely mounting this timeless pendant tight to your ceiling (and over your junction box) is child's play.
