Antique Eight-light iron and crystal chandelier. Early 19th c.
About the Item
This antique chandelier with eight arms and candleholders has fantastic proportions and a truly genuin feeling to it. A thick forged iron pool is the central stem of the chandelier. It is covered with handblown crystal that gives it a lively, charming feeling. From the circular bottom part the eight S-shaped arms stands out. The ironwork is artistically done where the circular holder for the candle-arms is decorated with a fine engraved pattern. Every arm is held by an iron large iron nut.
From the crystal plate-shaped roof long chains of crystal beads hang and are attached to the urn-shaped candleholders.
