American Neo-Renaissance Gilt Bronze and Green Slag Glass Chandelier

About the Item

This late 19th century American chandelier equally lights a room and the table below. The cased green glass panels are set in a gilt bronze hexagonal frame, surmounted by a crown-shaped cap with original pierced suspension chain and canopy. The base of the shade is set in a substantial bronze ring, which supports six candle sockets, each on a scrolling volute-shaped arm. It is trimmed with a heavy braided silk band.
