Classic Dayak carved wood calendar board with Aso or Dragon Motifs, Borneo, Indonesia. Traditional very dark wood with carving in relief and incised numbers/calendar marks, and a flat back. Known as a calendar board, this is a carved incised chart to help determine auspicious dates to plan special events and ceremonies. ex- CA collection, 18 1/2 inches high, on custom metal stand. Created mid 20th century
