About the Item

Early 20th century Pollock’s toy theatre We are proud to offer an early 20th century Pollock’s toy theatre set. Constructed from a Bakelite, wood, and lithograph paper. With light bulbs and switches still in place. This example is accompanied by lots of plays, characters, props, and material stated below. This example also has several play scripts which would have been owned by the family that played with this item. There is also a Barnardo’s Care for children in need pamphlet which was found with the additional accessories which leads us to believe the child that was amused by this theatre had special needs, we feel this makes this theatre even more charming as the scripts have family members names on them so they must have all enjoyed this item as some point. Accessories: The silver palace / Treasure island / Cinderella / Black Beard / The High Toby (assorted plays and characters). Light bulbs, switches, character metal sticks, plastic filters for light, play scripts and other odd cut our characters. It is hard to document every item but there is a box full of items that accompany this theatre. Approx. Dimensions in inches: 13” x W 12” x D 16” Origin: England circa early 20th century Unit: 1 Condition: Aged through wear and tear is present across this item. The lithograph is faded in section. The wood shows a natural aged patination. The light switches and plugs have not been tested.
