Early 20th Century Porcelain Heinz Advertising Sign

About the Item

c. 1900s; H.J. Heinz Co. - Pittsburgh Large circular, single-sided porcelain Heinz advertising sign. This piece features the iconic Heniz 57 Varieties typeface with the iconic pickle logo. The pickle came into being when H.J. Heinz drew attention to his booth at the Chicago World's Fair by wearing a "pickle pin". (see photos) It worked so well, it became the company trademark for decades and can still be found on select Heinz products.
