1960s Original Polycarbonate Face "Ace Hardware" Advertisement Signage. The Vintage Outdoor Sign Hangs which Displays A Double Sided Logo Of The Well Known "Ace Hardware" Logo. The Vintage Signage by Dualite Lights Up To Promote A Bright Visual Of The Shop To Attract Their Loyal Customers Or Even New Customers. This Is A Perfect Addition To Any Mancave Or Game Room Or Even Your Shop. There Is A Small Crack In The Polycarbonate At The Top In The Corner On One Side Of The Sign As You Can See In The Photo Provided, As Well As A Slight Dent In The Aluminum Frame Toward The Bottom Left Side. And A Long Three Pronged 120v Plug. The Company Was Named After The "Ace fighter pilots" of world war 1, who were able to overcome all odds. Dimension: 73.5" long X 48" tall X 9" deep. Side Note: Polycarbonate Is An Incredibly Useful Plastic For Applications Requiring Transparency And High Impact Resistance. It Is A Lighter Alternative To Glass And A Natural UV Filter. Easy To Clean With Soap And Water Only. Ace hardware history via internet: In 1924, to increase buying power and profits, entrepreneurs Richard Hesse, E. Gunnard Lindquist, Frank Burke, and Oscar Fisher united their Chicago, Illinois, hardware stores into "Ace Stores". The company was named after the ace fighter pilots of World War I, who were able to overcome all odds. Ace Stores was incorporated in 1928, and the company opened its first warehouse a year later. In 1931, the name was changed to Ace Hardware Corporation 1968 the proportions of the elements changed. The largest part of the logo was a white trapezoidal figure. This allowed placing the name of the cooperative in two lines. The artists depicted four red stripes of varying sizes. They were arranged in ascending order, with the shortest line at the bottom and the longest at the top. And the font of the word “ACE” was also modified. The designers made a straight vertical line on the inside of the “C” to remove the rounding. At the same time, they widened the right stroke on the “A” and the left stroke on the “E.” All colors except black and white were muted. Underneath is a green triangle was a white silhouette of a fighter plane.
