Antique Runner with Botanical Lattice Garden Design in Optimists Colors

About the Item

Dusk All-Over Botanical Lattice Garden Design Antique Runner About: Beautiful all-over botanical Lattice garden design throughout the entire piece giving it some real structure and form. The colors in this runner are mesmerizing; deep navy canvas with botanical greens, orange, fruit punch, dusty and sunflower yellows, camel, mocha, antique beige, reds, and more. What really draws me in regarding this piece is that iconic marriage of navy and camel; it's very Ralph Lauren, and with the symphony of other colors to elevate it, it's just a beauty. The standing plants/flowers/trees blooming is a nice representation of birth, growth, and new beginnings. These botanical designs are so uplifting and timeless. These weavers weave what they love and see in their surroundings, this weaver(s) must have loved flowers and perhaps was also a gardener. The lattice design that subtly comes through from the negative space between the motifs adds a nice geometric and masculine undertone to a feminine-forward and energy-packed runner. Really, really a pretty and character-fulled piece! Elevate your kitchen, entryway, bedroom, hallway, or wherever else you lay this piece, it will add soul and mystique with charm and joy all at the same time. Iconic Water Garden Colorful Antique Runner, c.1940's
Located in Milwaukee, WI
Iconic water garden colorful antique Runner About: The most colorful runner on online. There is no rug that comes close to touching this piece in terms of uniqueness in the color combination. Iconic water garden design grounded in deep navy, with a bag of skittles woven all throughout this piece in the most tasteful, elegant, and charming way. It's not gaudy, rather sophisticated. It's not loud, rather playful. It's not commercial, rather so original that we know these weavers don't weave rugs with this many colors often- it's difficult, it's more time consuming, and it takes so much patience. Imagine switching balls of wool every few knots. Imagine trying to stay [loosely] consistent with the colors and design. So much work, so much soul, and there's no wonder why you can sense the energy this piece has when it's rolled out in front of you. It feeds your eyes, your soul, and speaks to everything there is to be said about sensational tribal runners. Lavender borders flank the soft antique beige true border, that all frame the deep navy field that organically switches to coffee color and back to the navy. Olive greens spring out into the petals of flowers, magenta, and deep saffron, and sunflower yellow pokes through like the sun in the morning time to really energize this piece. French, peacock, and midnight blues weave in and out cooling the rug down with their variations, and watermelon, salmon, blush, and apricot counter that coolness with their warmth. I must say, from all of our pieces we have only ever had one other runner to rival this size, color, and sheer beauty - that piece sold to a very niche space and client that saw what we saw - we know this piece will go to another space that will do it justice, and to a client that refuses to settle for the ordinary. If you're a designer that has a client or project that really does honor the unique, this is a wonderful piece if they can take this size. Impossible to ignore in size, colors, design, and story. You can't ask for anything more than that - 10...
