Sterling silver cutlery set for 6 guests - Louis XVI style pearls pattern

About the Item

A fine sterling silver flatware for 6 guests composed of 6 table forks and 6 table spoons by French silversmith Ernest Prost (active between 1923 and 1963, successor to Charles Barrier). The Louis XVI style pattern is very close to Puiforcat's Lamballe pattern : it is decorated with pearls and acanthus, it is chic and sober, yet its proportions are perfectly balanced and the silver density shows a high quality set. There is no monogram or coat of arms on the handle : you can customize them by engraving initials or a family crest. Each piece bears French hallmark Minerva 1st standard (.950) and Parisian silversmith Ernest Prost stamp. A refined tableware set, easy to match with any table style. Weight : 2070g
