About the Item

This is a magnificent pair of Victorian silver wine bottle coasters, pierced and with undulating shell and scroll mounted rims. Usually the wooden base is left au naturel but in this case it is also silver and engraved with the Order of the Bath and the motto " TRIA JUNCTA IN UNO" (Three joined in one}

An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver mustard pot with spoon made by Joseph Angell I & Joseph Angell II; an addition to our Victorian silver condiments collection. This exceptional and rare antique silver mustard pot, in sterling standard, has a waisted-shaped form. The body of this Victorian silver mustard pot is plain and encompassed with protruding panels, in the architectural style. This sterling silver mustard pot is fitted with a subtly domed hinged hallmarked cover, bearing a continuation of the panelled design to a central point. The cover is surmounted with an impressive sterling silver applied leaf thumbpiece. This exceptional example of antique silverware has a cast silver shaped handle, embellished with scrolling and strapwork style decoration. The mustard pot opens to reveal the original removable blue glass liner and gilded interior. This exceptional and rare mustard pot is supplied with an associated Victorian sterling silver spoon. This impressive sterling silver mustard pot, crafted by the renowned London silversmiths Joseph Angell I & Joseph Angell II, is an unusual and desirable design.
