Frederick Warren Set of 4 Glasses, American Studio Art Glass

About the Item

Striking hand-blown tumblers or large glasses were created by Frederick Warren with organic, free-form motifs of fused glass separating transparent and iridescent areas. The set of glasses was done in reserved, but powerful pink, coral, and beige colorway. The glasses are signed and dated by the artist in etching on the bottoms. Fred Warren is an established glass artist who trained with Boyce Lundstrom in 1970s before setting his studio in Muskegon, Michigan; Boyce went on to become one of the founding owners of Bullseye Glass. Warren is renowned for creating his unique silver opaque glass technique; many of his pieces have a strong Modernist influence. In the early 2000s Warren collaborated with Jeff Van Hassel.
