19th Century French Hand Painted Ceramic Barbotine Fruit Wall Platter
About the Item
Decorate a kitchen wall or a breakfast room with this large antique majolica plate. Sculpted in France circa 1880 in the manner of Longchamp, the colorful porcelain platter is decorated with hand painted fruit motifs in high relief including four red and yellow apples in high relief, hanging from a tree branch covered with green leaves. The charger has a brown, beige, light blue and pink background palette. The decorative wall platter is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn well-maintained, vivid colors. Hanging wire devise in the back for easy installation. Markings on the underside with number 155 for further authentication.

Place this sculptural, antique jardinière on a shelf or on a kitchen counter for a pop of color. Crafted in Montigny-sur-Loing, France circa 1860, the colorful basket has a central handle and features a double vase decorated with floral and leaf motifs in high relief.
