One of the greatest questions of all time is what you buy the person who has everything, the answer is this! Exactly as described, you place a bottle of wine in the stand, crank the handle and it pours the wine for you, what a wonderful way to add a touch of class and elegance to serving you favorite tipple!
The condition is absolutely period perfect, it has a wonderful patina
I bought this from a good friend in Belgium who is one of my favorite antiques dealers, he always finds rare and wonderful things from the continent

An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver wine goblet; an addition to our antique wine and drinks related silverware collection
This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver wine goblet has a circular bell shaped form onto a knopped stem and circular spreading foot.
The body of this antique silver goblet is embellished with impressive embossed and chased scrolling leaf decoration accented with bead motifs, all on a matte background.
The decoration to the body incorporates plain lobed arch designs, composing five vacant cartouches.
The upper rim of the drinking vessel is encircled with an applied moulded border.
The circular knop to the plain stem is encompassed with applied bead decoration.
The swept foot is embellished with further embossed and chased decoration reflecting that of the body and is encircled with an applied band of bead decoration to the rim.
This exceptional sterling silver goblet was crafted by the London silversmiths John Newton Mappin & George Webb of Mappin & Webb.
