Bruno Munari Ponza Tall Floor Ashtray in Black for Danese Milano, 1958

Mid-Century, Bruno Munari designed "Ponza" standing ashtray from in 1958. Munari, who authored and illustrated many children's books, worked as a sculptor, a printmaker, designed toys, furniture, lighting, and kinetic art, designed this early in his long and prolific career for the Danese Milano company, a leading force in furniture manufacturing in Post-War Italy. This ashtray's modern mix of anodized aluminum and stainless steel lends a sleek, appealing design and showcases Munari's Futurist esthetics and principles. In original condition with minimal wear.
