White Glazed Ball Vase
About the Item
Drawing on a long Chinese tradition of monochrome ceramics, this striking short-necked vase is cloaked in an all-over milky white glaze. Sculpted by artisans in China's historic Jiangxi province, the rounded vase reinterprets a traditional bottleneck shape with clean lines and an understated sculptural presence. The striking white glaze nods to the Song dynasty (960–1279) when tastes shifted to monochrome glazes in single, statement-making colors.
