Ceramic Art Deco Vase with Metallic Mirror Glaze by Øbo, 1930s

About the Item

Unique vase in deep red lustre glaze. Its by a Danish ceramist called Øbo who for a period of time worked at Michael Andersen & Son on the Island of Bornholm during the 1930s. This piece was created in their studio. The glazing technique is reminiscent of Jens Pedersen and Søren Kongstrand who were active in the same period. Please notice that the vase has a few glaze chips to the top edge and a few superficial scratches to the body. H: 14 cm, D: 9 cm.
