About the Item

Mid-century silk black female figure. Fired, hand-painted, silk-glazed matte ceramic sculpture with silky black glazed and gold decoartion around neck. It was made in the 50s. A really characterful, sexy piece. In good condition, traces of old repairs can be seen on the pedestal, which is not visible at all. More information about Margit Izsépy: Industrial artist ceramist, who has been working with ceramics since 1940. With her works, she participated in the 1947 ceramics exhibition and the 1952 Applied Arts exhibition organized by the Ernst Museum. In the 1950s, he worked in the Kerámia Iparművész ktsz and her home workshop. Among her best-known works are her African tribal sculptures.
