About the Item
The very different, extra-ordinary X-mas tree made of mirror polished stainless steel or brass. Decorated with round or oval disks in marble.
The X-mas tree is available in two versions: one profile or double profiles.
The marble disks can be moved to create new compositions.
Many different type of marble available (White Carrara, Imperial grey, pink Portuguese, Red Verona, various onyxes etc.).
The X-mas tree has a round marble disk as a base, diameter: 80cm. Size of tree is customizable.
Dimensions: height 180 cm, diameter: 125 cm
Marble is a natural material, every piece is unique as each onyx block is different in veins and color shades. All of our creations are handmade by Italian artisans and can slightly vary in shape and size. This is to be considered as a guarantee of a handmade object.
The artworks by Barberini & Gunnell are regularly shown at international art fairs, such as PAD London, PAD Genève, PAD Monaco, Salon Art and Design New York, Art Miami.

The choice of the best and most precious materials, the maniacal cure for detail is the basis of their modus operandi, aiming to create timeless pieces. Using stainless steel, brass, cast bronze, precious wood essences, marbles,onyxes, semi-precious gemstones, crystal glass, together with the most sophisticated technologies and quality craftsmanship, allows the atelier to work for clients like the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, Bonhams, Cartier, Dior, Four Seasons Hotels, Louis Vuitton, Paramount Pictures, Peter Marino Architects, Regency Seven Seas Cruises and Sotheby’s. Atelier Barberini & Gunnell was founded in 2009 by the architects Francesco Barberini and Nina A. Gunnell, as the result of a passion followed for a long period of time, creating one-off pieces and collectible design in limited editions; artworks far from the industrial reality. The cultural mix between the two artists with Italian, English and Austrian backgrounds results in unique architectural and interior design projects. From several private clients and collectors emerges the request for the conception and realization of ‘living art’, customized furniture for their special homes. Artworks by Barberini & Gunnell are exhibited at: Art BaselDesign//Miami, Art Miami, PAD London, PAD Genève, PAD Paris, Salon Art+Design New York … In 2019 Atelier Barberini & Gunnell founded the brand ‘Pieruga Marble’.

The 'Cloud' is a spectacular console with structure in polished stainless steel and top in rare green onyx. The console continues on the wall creating a wonderful scenography of mirrors set in green onyx slabs. The polished finishing of the stainless steel creates interesting reflections of light. The artwork console ‘Cloud’ was chosen by Maestro Andrea Bocelli and his wife Veronica.
Dimensions: L 140 x W 49 x H 242 cm. Dimensions are customizable.

The artwork is hand signed and numbered by the artists (engraved), 100% handmade in Italy and comes with a “Certificate of Authenticity”.
We wanted to kidnap a cloud, slice it into thin sheets like it’s done with blocks of marble.
After, we take the central slab with the most beautiful pattern.
To keep the cloud from escaping, we tied it on to weights, disguising them as light, silvery legs.
Now, that the cloud is fixed to the ground forever we dressed her in the colour of green onyx which rested for millennia in the depth of heavy mountains.
The cloud has become a table and nobody will ever unmask it.
