Late 19th century bronze by Belgian sculptor Georges Van der Straeten (1856-1941) depicting a stylish young maiden standing with a hat on her hands. Signed Van der Straeten on base , numbered under the figure. Seal of the importer that sold it in south America. The elegant curvilinear lines of the woman’s body and of the fabric are characteristic of the Art Nouveau period. Bronze, gilt.
