Abstract Olivewood Organic Sculpture

About the Item

An abstract olivewood sculpture by an unknown artist, probably late 20th century or early 21st century. Following the grain of the wood the sculpture offers multiple views of the polished surface accentuating the vivid grain. The root structure of an olive tree must be centuries old with signs of fire marks. Mounted on a bicycle fork - reference to Marcel Duchamp - the artwork can be turned and viewed all around. Height including base: 175 cm (5ft 8.9 in).
