About the Item

The 8-day movement with finely engraved back plate and the full brass dial signed Pennington, Drury Lane Circa 1785 The Pennington family of clock makers have some interesting members and this one was invited to look at the marine timekeeper by Mudge for the government and was one of the partners in Barraud's abortive attempt to mass produce chronmeters to Mudges pattern.
