Continental Patinated Bronze and Ormolu Clock, signed Imperial

About the Item

A handsome and most decorative Continental Turn of the Century Louis XVI st. Ormolu, Vert Antique marble and patinated Bronze clock, signed Imperial. The clock is raised on six Ormolu foliate topie feet below the Vert Antique marble base with an Ormolu laurel band. A charming patinated Bronze cherub is positioned above the base and seemingly riding the cloud shaped Ormolu pedestal. The richly cased spherical patinated Bronze clock displays Ormolu arrow designed hands and Roman numerals. Above the clock is an additional patinated Bronze cherub balancing himself on the clock while handing a flaming torch above his head. All original rich and warm patina throughout.
