About the Item

Louis XVI style clock in gilded bronze and porcelain: the base is very richly decorated: putti heads, flower garlands, knots and rosettes and porcelain plates decorated with golden scrolls on a pink background, around the edge. The dial is delicately decorated with putti and flowers. This clock is topped with a covered vase in pink porcelain, held on each side by bronze sirens. Beautiful quality of work on the bronze and the decoration of the porcelain, wear, old restorations on the foot, on the lid of the vase and on the neck of the vase; some enamel beads are missing. The porcelain plates are numbered and bear the mark HD Mechanic needs to be checked 19th century Height 47cm 30 x 17 cm
