A Large German Brass Hanukkah Menorah early 20th Century

About the Item

This Large German brass Menorah is indicative of the neo-gothic style of that period and suggests a date around the turn of the twentieth century. Hanukkah menorah rests on an octagonal stepped base supported by four flywheel-shaped legs. Base is mounted by an octagonal stem with a notched fleur-de-lis at its crest and surmounted by the main body of the Menorah. Main body is pierced with eight branches and quatrefoil cut-out branches interspersed among them with leaf clover shapes cut into its center. Eight parson-shaped cups are applied to its fleur-de-lis topped branches with a removable similar servant lamp at the center
