1920s Asian Camphor Wood Box with Traditional Lockset and Lateral Handles

About the Item

An Asian camphor wood box from the early 20th century, with traditional lockset on medallion and lateral handles. This Asian camphor trunk features a clean, rectangular shape, simply accented with metal hardware and dark dovetails on the side panels. The top lifts up to reveal a convenient storage area, and closes thanks to a dark metal traditional Asian lockset sitting on a medallion. The box can be moved thanks to the lateral C-scroll brass handles. With its linear shape and warm patina, this Asian camphor box, circa 1920, will bring an exotic touch in any room, whether used as a coffee table or to store documents or linens.
