About the Item
Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown teal blue/green and gold flecks Italian art glass bowl. Documented to designer Alfredo Barbini, circa 1950s. The bowl has four indents on the rim, with "Bullicante" controlled bubble decoration and filled with gold leaf on the inside. I have photographed the bowl in different light so you can get a sense of the color better. Also added a last photo, next to a pink and true blue bowl (currently listed), so you can see the difference on the teal color. Would make a great display piece on any desk, dresser or coffee table. Use it as a catchall, candy dish or ashtray. Mid-century era. Measures 5 3/4" x 5 1/2" x 2 3/4" high.

Alfredo Barbini
Alfredo Barbini (1912–2007), a glass artist born in 1912 on the islands of Murano in the lagoon of Venice, Italy, was one of Murano's leading figures of the 20th century. His parents were members of families, which had been prominent in the glassmaking industry on Murano for generations as glassblowers and beadmakers.
