Pair of Large 19th Century Bronze Campana Urns

About the Item

A stunning large pair of patinated and gilt bronze campana vases, after the Medici and Borghese models. Classic egg and dart overhanging rim, above a waisted body cast in relief with a continuous scene of mythological figures, the acanthus lower section flanked to each side by a fluted handle centred by foliage, with satyr mask terminals, on a fluted spreading socle and square . Both retain the original copper liners.
