This large glazed jar was hand-crafted in China's Shanxi province over a century ago and was originally used for pickling food. Masterfully crafted, the jar is patterned in high relief, featuring medallion portraits of chrysanthemums, plum blossoms, bamboo, and pine branches. A textured trim of scalloped and bead-like motifs border the jar's lip, framed by a pattern of chrysanthemum blossoms and shou symbols of longevity.
