Antique Chippendale Style Torchere / Plant Stand
About the Item
A lovely antique torchere / plant stand, made in England, and dating from around the 1890-1910 period.
It is of superb quality, with incredibly fine carving throughout, and a wonderful overall patina. There is fine carving around the top edge, the tripod base has acanthus leaf carving at the knees, terminating in claw and ball feet. This is perfect for use as a plant stand or lamp table.
We have had this recently re-polished, it is in very good condition for its age, with various signs of old wear and some marking beneath the polish here and there.
