Pair of French 19th Century Neo-Classical St. Burl Maple and Bronze Columns

About the Item

An impressive and most decorative pair of French 19th century Neo-Classical st. burl maple and patinated bronze pedestals columns. Each handsome pedestal is raised by a striking patinated bronze base with paw feet, a central lion's head flanked by palmettes, and a richly chased wrap around berried laurel band and mottled support. The circular central burl maple supports lead to exceptional and finely detailed patinated bronze ionic capitals and square top display shelves with cut corners and recessed mottled fluted wrap around bands at the borders. All original patina throughout.
