Late 19th C. Musical Motif Wicker Rocker

About the Item

A very rare wicker rocker by the Wakefield Rattan Company, Wakefield Massachusetts, C. 1890s in wonderful condition. This rocker is part of a matching set which can be purchased separate or together.The set consists of the Mothers rocker and children's matching rocker and straight chair often referred to as junior chairs. All are in a natural finish that has been freshened and each musical themed piece has an intricate woven back consisting of a prominent fiddleback design which is woven with star caning and displayed beneath a woven star and woven bow decoration all with pressed cane seats..This is a very early rare set of wicker having all three matching pieces. A perfect suite for a Childs nursery. The description measurement displayed is for the adult chair and the children's chairs measure Adult 29" Rocker L. x 21' W. x 37" Ht.
