Giraffe Bench, Made for Colchester Zoo, England 1950s

About the Item

This is a really delightful bench with wrought iron giraffes on both ends. A practical and decorative piece for almost any garden and a real talking point too. This garden seat is made from wrought iron and wood, which is stained a lovely dark red. We have had this carefully cleaned by our restorer, whilst allowing it to retain its gorgeous patina. The bench was handcrafted for Colchester Zoo, Essex, England in the 1950s as part of a series of animal benches. Superb quality and highly decorative.
